From 2019 to 2021, the volume of dangerous goods passing through the Three Gorges Ship Lock kept a steady growth, with an annual average of over 9 million tons of dangerous goods passing through the lock. Oil products and chemicals are the main bulk cargo, and oil tankers and chemical tankers account for 99% of the total volume of dangerous cargo passing through the lock. Dangerous goods pass through the Three Gorges ship locks exceeding the fire protection design standards, which is a major risk for the Three Gorges Dam. Characteristics of inflammable and explosive dangerous goods, and the deck temperature of dangerous goods ships as high as 70 degrees in summer can easily cause deflagration accidents. The accidents may cause the crew unable to evacuate, and the ship lock gates lose function, and even endanger the ship lock and dam. In order to solve the congestion problem of dangerous goods ships passing through the lock and its potential safety hazards, the data of 5849 dangerous goods ships passing through the lock in 2020 were analyzed. Probability statistics method and interpolation method are used to process the data of the length, width and shape depth of the dangerous goods ships, and spearman coefficient method is adopted to conduct correlation analysis between the draft of the passing dangerous goods ships and the locking time, and on this basis to explore whether the seasonal change will have an impact on the above data analysis results. The above work provides a decision basis for the cooperated scheduling scheme for the efficient and safe passage of dangerous goods ships through the Three Gorges.
