The flow of the tidal reach is affected by the dual effects of the upstream flow and the downstream tidal water jacking during the flow process. The flow state and water quality are more complicated. The pollutants in the water flow also spread under the action of tidal fluctuations, which will have a certain impact on the water environment along the way. Therefore, it is of theoretical and practical value to study the hydrodynamic conditions and pollutant diffusion law of tidal reach.
In this paper, the ideal rectangular area is taken as the research objects, and the diffusion law of pollutants in the random walk model is studied. First, a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model was established, and the hydrodynamic conditions of the two were simulated to provide flow field data for further calculations. Then, based on the obtained flow field data of the rectangular area, a convection diffusion model is established based on the Euler method, and using this model to simulate the distribution of polluted particles in the 160m×160m rectangular area after 60s movement, followed by the random walk mode based on Lagrangian method is introduced. The random walk diffusion model is established, and the model is verified under the condition of uniform flow. The random walk model is used to simulate the distribution of polluted particles in the 160m×160m rectangular area after 60s of diffusion, and compared the simulation results of the two to analyze the characteristics of the two methods.
Comparing the simulation process and simulation results of the two models, it can be seen that the principle of convective diffusion model based on Euler's method is relatively simple and easier to program, which is suitable for simulating the diffusion of soluble pollutants; while the random wandering diffusion model under the Lagrangian framework, although relatively difficult to handle mathematically and more computationally intensive, can observe the diffusion and distribution of particles more directly, and in the simulation of insoluble pollutants has certain superiority.
